The Operations Team

At an instant in time, the OPS TEAM comprise permanent and temporary members as per their roles and the activities extant at that moment. Some members such as the Secretary and Treasurer are permanent since their role is ongoing and requiring continuous reporting of (monthly) activity (e.g. treasurer, rugby groups). Other "project manager" team members are temporary, attending when they are working on live projects (e.g. First aid course delivery).

Just like a rugby team, the Ops Team consists of mini-teams each with different purpose and actions. Notably the mini-teams include:

  • Finance team
  • Bar and Cellar team
  • Club maintenance team
  • Food and Supplies team

The Ops Team initiate, monitor and review operations to ensure continuous improvement for club success. They will meet as necessary (typically fortnightly or monthly) to review, report and adjust direction as necessary.

Bradford on Avon Rugby club's central focus and aim is the delivery of rugby to the Bradford on Avon local and wider communities. That goal embraces "on-field" (playing and training for rugby) and "off-field" (social events, clubhouse usage, Sky TV, sponsors meetings, etc) activities or direct and indirect rugby activities each requiring their own resources and associated costs. The club can continue to deliver rugby as long as it has pitches to play and train on, so it could do without a clubhouse! The club has to prioritise and choose those activities it can undertake at any instant in time.

To help make choices on events and activities to undertake, the club will operating a crude priority system, categorising the various activities as follows.
